it will be my fourth year going with Aradia.<\/p>\n<p>This will, however, be my first year going as work exchange\u201420 hours of my weekend promised to the Heartland Spirit Alliance to help keep the festival running.\u00a0 It will also be my first year as a head of an encampment.<\/p>\n<p>Aradia and I are bringing three friends who\u2019ve never been before, and hosting two more who have attended before but are coming without their usual retinue.\u00a0 I\u2019m going out today, a day before the festival opens officially, to be trained in (and hopefully to begin) my work exchange duties.\u00a0 I\u2019ll also use the opportunity to pick out a camp site for us all.<\/p>\n<p>I can\u2019t begin to describe how excited I am.<\/p>\n<p>Christopher Penczak and Kerr Cuhulain will both be speaking.\u00a0 Seriously, click the image link and check out the list of speakers and performers.\u00a0 Then there\u2019s that whole Lunar Election (9am-9:40 CDT Friday for any of my compatriots who are thinking about making a Lunar Talisman for themselves out there).<\/p>\n<p>So I\u2019ll be back in about eight days with a shit ton of stories.<\/p>\n<p>Have fun here in the blogosphere without me.\u00a0 And if any of my dear readers think they might be at festival, look for the encampment with this tent and flag:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/journeythroughtheobsidiandream.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/05\/img_3631.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image:none;margin:0 auto 2px;padding-left:0;padding-right:0;display:block;float:none;padding-top:0;border:0;\" title=\"IMG_3631\" src=\"http:\/\/journeythroughtheobsidiandream.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/05\/img_3631_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_3631\" width=\"244\" height=\"162\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll be camped somewhere around Dava Wood if all goes according to plan.\u00a0 Look for the big guy with the beard and tattoos under his collar bone that match the flag;
