{"id":68,"date":"2011-11-07T13:06:00","date_gmt":"2011-11-07T19:06:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/journeythroughtheobsidiandream.wordpress.com\/2011\/11\/07\/samhain-altar-and-rites"},"modified":"2011-11-07T13:06:00","modified_gmt":"2011-11-07T19:06:00","slug":"samhain-altar-and-rites","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/journeythroughtheobsidiandream.com\/index.php\/2011\/11\/07\/samhain-altar-and-rites\/","title":{"rendered":"Samhain Altar and Rites"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/lh5.ggpht.com\/-ZbqBrDhWGCY\/TrgsLE-QLXI\/AAAAAAAAAIw\/Y5FkopyzIwI\/s1600-h\/IMG_4814%25255B6%25255D.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"IMG_4814\" border=\"0\" alt=\"IMG_4814\" src=\"http:\/\/lh3.ggpht.com\/--8dbRlR4doI\/TrgsL49nb4I\/AAAAAAAAAI4\/17n4qLc5DVI\/IMG_4814_thumb%25255B3%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800\" width=\"379\" height=\"301\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Many of the things which belong on the altar you see above seem to have been misplaced in the move.\u00a0 This strikes me as somehow appropriate.\u00a0 I have spent the week between callender and astrological dates of Samhain in off-and-on meditation on loss and transition.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>It is perhaps no coincidence \u2013 particularly as I work through my issues with Yesod and the Moon \u2013 that I have felt exceptionally burnt out over the last week.\u00a0 I\u2019m very happy with where I\u2019m at, and with where I\u2019m going.\u00a0 But I\u2019ve given up a lot and gone through a lot to get here.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I\u2019ll have to give up more to get where I\u2019m going.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve spent a lot of time dwelling on these sacrifices and transformations \u2013 both past and future.\u00a0 And I think that these ruminations \u2013 the details of which are too personal to share, even here, and of no particular value to anyone but myself anyway &#8211;
